Maira Occitan Trail 2024

La Valle Maira è una delle più belle vallate dell’arco alpino occidentale, ormai famosa a livello internazionale non solo per la sua bellezza, ma anche per l’ospitalità, l’offerta turistica sostenibile e le possibilità di attività outdoor che abbracciano tutte le stagioni dell’anno. Il Meja Occitan Trail è la gara che con l’edizione 2021 ha dato il via agli eventi MOT. È una gara di 42 km con 2650 m D+ Si parte dal village e subito con una salitona che attraversa l’abitato di Canosio si raggiunge il Colle di San Giovanni, da cui un suggestivo sentiero porta nella valle principale e da qui all’inizio del vallone di Unerzio. Frere, Chialvetta, Viviere e poi su fino al passo della Gardetta, e già qui è stupefacente, ma aspettate di scollinare e percorrendo tutto il favoloso altopiano della Gardetta si entra direttamente nelle favole. La dominante Rocca la Meja che calamiterà il vostro sguardo è il castello incantanto. Dal Colle del Mulo più di dieci kilometri di fantastica discesa vi riporteranno a Marmora

The Meja Occitan Trail is the race that kicked off MOT events with the 2021 edition. It is a 42 km race with 2650 m D+. It starts from the village and immediately with a big climb through the village of Canosio you reach the Colle di San Giovanni, from which a charming trail leads into the main valley and from there to the beginning of the Unerzio valley.
